Moments that brought communities together

  1. 1980

    First Quebec referendum

    During the first Quebec referendum, Canadians from many communities organized, spoke up, and made the case for a united country.

  2. 1995

    A renewed test of unity

    The 1995 Quebec referendum again brought communities together in support of Canada’s shared future and democratic institutions.

  3. 1990s

    Unity walks and community mobilization

    Tony Ruprecht’s unity walks brought people together in public spaces, demonstrating that civic participation and community solidarity can make a difference.

  4. 2026

    The Public Unity Walk

    On October 3, 2026, the Save Canada Unity Coalition invites Canadians to gather at Queen’s Park and walk to City Hall in support of a strong, unified Canada.
